My Favourite Designer Series Paper

Welcome back to my Blog where I thought I had signed up to another 'hop' with Stampin' Dreams who's theme this month is "My Favourite DSP" (Designer Series Paper).

It's hard to choose my favourite Designer Series Paper, but I think the Painted With Love #145580 in the Spring/Summer catalogue has to be top of the list.  I love the bright colours combined with the Gold Foil accents.  The Speciality DSPs tend to be much thick as well which is great for creating boxes and other 3D projects.

Here is my collection of cards for todays hop.  Using Kylie Betucci's Love It, Chop It" style, which is one of my favourite layouts and was shared to get us using our DSP, not just hoarding it 'because we love it'.
These cards are very similar to those in the stationary set for my Spring Retreats in March.  This time using full A6 cards instead of Stampin' Up! Notecard & Envelopes and using Gold Foil on top of Basic Black die cut sentiments, to create a 'shadow' effect.

I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you and brightened your day.

Remember, these gorgeous Designer Series Papers will be retiring on 31st May or whilst stocks last, so please click on my shop below if you wish to place an order, or alternatively contact me directly.

Sadly my link hasn't worked, however I have left in the group of participants below, to share some further inspiration if you wish.  Enjoy :-)

Coffee Break Blog Hop

I hope you are enjoying our Coffee Break Blog Hop, along with your favourite cuppa !  Today I am 'hopping' with fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.  You may have arrived from Ginger's blog and her wonderful creations.

Today's hop we are all featuring the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper #144155, together with the coordinating Coffee Café stamp set  #143677 and Coffee Cup Framelits #143745.  With 12 patterns to select from SIX double-sided sheets, our blog hops may or may not include coffee themes.  The opposite sides of the DSP usually feature a complimentary pattern like stripes, circles or asymmetrical prints, that may be used instead of the coffee patterns.

My first pack of this beautiful Designer Series paper was purchased to create some cute little gifts for my O.W.L.S.  team gifts at last Novembers On Stage Convention with Stampin' Up!  It's hardly possible to think we have just attended the next bi-annual event, so that was six months ago!
I love that on the back of every pack of DSP, Stampin' Up! print the list of all the colours included in the design pack, so I usually start with bringing out one sheet of each colour to make a base card.
This first card is a simple design, showing you can use for other cards, not just coffee themed.

The Soft Sky base card has an Early Espresso layer and panel of Designer Series Paper. Ooh, are there a couple of new upcoming products on there too ?
My next card is more traditional use of the Coffee Café stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.  The Early Espresso base card has a Whisper White layer and the Woodgrain effect from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.  The coffee beans at the bottom are also included in this set, stamped and die cut.
Would you believe that I'm not actually a coffee drinker but I still bought this bundle !  Well, for today's hop I had another idea I was wanting to try.

Last Autumn / Winter catalogue there was another stamp set that complimented these dies and I had  seen a few people a make a handle for a hot chocolate mug, using the 'C' from the Large Letter Framelits #141712.
My favourite cuppa is a nice mug of Darjeeling Tea and so I wanted to create a 'TEA' option too.  The mug has been made as above but because I wanted to raise on Stampin' Dimensionals, I cut a card layer too to support the DSP.

For the teabag, I used the tag die and stamped the small 'T' from the Labeller Alphabet #141936, which I'm pleased to say will be with us for at least another 12-months in the new catalogue.  It is so useful to be able to create exact messages you wish.

Whilst the stamps and Framelits are carrying over into Stampin' Up! NEW Annual Catalogue 2018/19, they will no longer be available as a bundle.  This means the 10% discount for buying together will stop on 31st May when the catalogues change over, so if this is now on your Wish List, I encourage you to buy quickly to save yourselves 10% discount.  Also the Coffee Break DSP will also be retiring at the end of May too.

I hope you have enjoyed my creative shares today and enjoy continuing along your 'hop' today, by clicking on SHIRLEY to enjoy your creative tour round the Globe.  We love to hear what you like about our projects, so please stop and leave a comment along the way.

All of the supplies I have used here can be purchase through my Online store below, quoting the hostess code to receive a small gift after month end.

If you are in Europe and do not already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I would be very happy to help you with your purchases or have you join my Crafty O.W.L.S. team (Obsessed With Lovely Stamps).  Feel free to contact me and look forward to catching up with you soon.

Alaska Achievers Blog Hop - On Stage Celebrations

Welcome back to another Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop, with fellow Demonstrators globally, who have also earned the prestigious Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip, that only a limited number around the world achieve.

This month Demonstrators around the Globe attended our bi-annual On Stage Convention in our local countries, enjoying the big reveal of our brand ***NEW*** Annual catalogue 2018/19 being released on 1st June.

Joining in the Stampin' Up! 30th year celebrations around the Globe with our teams and fellow Demonstrators, creates a fantastic atmosphere.

Our hotel party this time consisted of 11 of my Downline team, with four of them attending On Stage for their first time, plus two honorary 'adopted' team members and another 6 in another hotel group.

With wonderful display stampers showcasing projects with NEW up-coming products and  Demonstrators presenting on Stage to the whole group, inspiration was certainly flowing in all directions.  I have already identified some firm favourites to plan my classes and Weekend Retreats for my customers.

The fun all started on Friday evening at Centre Stage event being attended by Demonstrators who have achieved Silver Elite or above.  Our 'attire' on the invite said 80's party.  Well I'm not into fancy dress but fate dealt me the opportunity to purchase this, at just the correct moment.
My costume certainly got lots of attention

Friends enjoying the fun - Sue, Frank & Sandra
Time to catch up with friends from the opposite of the country with
Ruth Magness
Some of my team with a couple of 'adoptees'
catching up for a quick photo
Team gifts are a must at events like this
Gift bags from In Colour Designer Series Paper
Tombow gifts also included
Another fabulous event Stampin' Up!, Team, Friends, lots of laughter.  Can't wait to attend November in Orlando and hotel already booked for April 2019 back in Telford !

I am so lucky to have attended every Convention and On Stage in Europe, still enjoying fond memories of that first European event in Frankfurt in 2009, with just 160 attendees.

I do hope you have enjyed seeing some of the fun we enjoy at these events.  If you would to know how  you can join us at the next event, speak to your Demonstrator or feel free to contact me.

Pop back over the next few days to see projects created using some of the wonderful stash of new goodies, just arrived ........

Friends of SUBA bring you Retiring SU products

Hi and welcome to today's Blog Hop with Friends of SUBA, Simply Unique Business Angels, featuring products that will sadly be retiring from Stampin' Up! current collection, when the NEW catalogue launches on 1st June.

A very warm welcome here on my Blog, you are currently visiting Sandra at my Stamp & Craft Studio here in Norfolk, UK.

This time of year is very difficult, having attended Stampin' Up! On Stage Convention last weekend and seen the NEW Annual Catalogue, the transition waving goodbye to products, makes us want to bring them out again.  There are many I will miss but today chose Weather Together #141543, being appropriate in April with all the showers we have been having here.
I like to co-ordinate my projects and chose to work with retiring colours pictured here Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky and Island Indigo, for todays cards.
My first card I used a Rose Red base with Island Indigo and Whisper White mat layers.  The clouds were inked in Island Indigo ink and stamped off, to give a lighter shade of blue.  The rain drops were stamped the same but, because I wanted them to be a lighter shade, were stamped off twice.
The umbrellas were stamped in Basic Grey Archival ink #140932, which can be coloured using the Watercolour Pencils #141709, ink from pad squeezed gently, or Blends which are available in a wide selection of colours ...... with several more colours on their way in the next catalogue !  All images were Die-cut using Umbrella Weather Framelits #141479.

The sentiment for this card was stamped at the bottom either side in Rose Red and in the centre using Island Indigo.
My next card has an Island Indigo base with Soft Sky and Whisper White layers.  The sentiment was stamped first in Island Indigo and rain drops stamped in Soft Sky.

The clouds were Die-cut using Umbrella Weather Framelits, with edges sponged in Soft Sky.

Flowers were stamped in Pink Pirouette and Rose Red and a few mini hearts Die-cut from scraps of the same colour card, filling the basket with 'hearts & flowers'.  This umbrella was then mounted on 3D Stampin' Dimensionals #104430
A Soft Sky 'wash' was added underneath the umbrella to 'ground' it, so not floating in mid air !  Finally I added Fine-Tip Glue Pen #138309 on a large number of raindrops and sprinkled with Dazzling Details Stampin' Glitter #133751 to add some sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed all the inspiration so far.  Please continue along our 'hop' by clicking here to go to Carrie's blog and see what lovely creations she has to share with you.

Here is the full list of those 'hopping' today, so you can be sure to visit everyone and see the wonderful projects being shared by my fellow Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.
